Eligibility is SSLC plus ITI in the trade with NTC (NCVT) or the state certificate; some posts need one to three years' experience or a NAC. Selection is a written OMR test on the trade plus general knowledge, followed by a rank list. KSEB Lineman also needs physical standards and a pole-climbing test.

ITI apprentice Kerala 2026 - the entry point

DRDO's NPOL, ISRO's Technician B, CSIR NIIST, Cochin Port and the central universities (NIT, IIT, IISER technicians) all list ITI posts with all-India eligibility and no Malayalam test.

Applying with an ITI certificate

Keep the SSLC certificate, ITI mark sheets (all semesters), the National Trade Certificate or state certificate in the exact trade, NAC or apprenticeship completion certificate, experience letters, community certificate, ID and photos ready. Read the trade name in the notification exactly: "Fitter" is not "Fitter (General)" in some units and "Electrician" is not "Wireman"; "NCVT" is sometimes required where SCVT is not accepted.
