Eligibility
- Essential Qualification: M.Tech / M.E. / Ph.D in Engineering / Technology, with B.Tech in Biomedical / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation or equivalent and at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Essential Experience: (i) 3 years Research / Industrial / Academic experience after M.Tech / M.E. (ii) For Ph.D candidates experience is not essential.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in Research and Development on Medical Devices / Industrial / Academic experience such as Product Design, Finite element analysis, Computational fluid dynamics, Prototyping, Medical device development and testing, Quality system documentation.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 35 years as on 01.11.2026.
Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive monthly emoluments of Rs. 58,000/- + 18% HRA. The appointment is initially for a period of 6 months and is likely to be extended up to 13.06.2029.
Selection Process
The applications will be screened and eligible candidates will be called for an Interview to be conducted at the Biomedical Technology Wing of the Institute at Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram. Depending on the number of candidates, a written test of a qualifying nature will be conducted for initial screening.
